I got the freezer a couple of weeks ago. The smaller model fit in my basement where a larger model would not. Perfect internal volume for my needs. Great design. Uber quiet. Works fantastic and I expect it will last another 25 years. Glad I got it.

Bought this a little over 2 years ago and suddenly it stopped cooling. Had a repair company out to look at it and the compressor is out! $400 for parts and labor to fix it - I can buy a new one for that. You have to be kidding me - 2 years on a freezer! I called Whirlpool to see if they would do anything despite it being only a 1 year warranty and they did nothing. Extremely disappointing.

Purchased new in August of 2013. Freezer worked perfectly for just over 2 years. It has now completely stopped cooling. The compressor tries to run, but the inside of the freezer is room temp. I bought a highly rated product from a reputable manufacturer specifically to avoid this exact situation: a defective product that dies after warranty runs out. Now the newest major appliance in my house is worthless. I've also lost all of the food in the freezer, costing about as much as the freezer did.

We bought this just over a year ago and today I found a freezer full of warm, spoiled food and meat. Of course, we are one month past the warranty! The chest freezer I replaced with this one was 15 years old and had been moved several times, I wanted the convenience of an upright. We gave the chest freezer to my son and it is still working!!! Guess I made the wrong choice. Don't know how much it will be to repair, not looking forward to that expense during the holidays!

I bought this 1-1/2 years ago. Have now had to shutoff, remove food and defrost. First time I lost freezer full of food after 9 mos of use, 6 mos later caught the freeze up before losing food, and now 3 mos later, frozen again. Since the first time, I now put very little in the freezer as can't deal with space required to empty, air flows freely too. Whirlpool what is wrong with your products???

We purchased this unit to replace a Kenmore that was over 30 years old and finally quit working. This one lasted just over 4 years. We lost numerous pounds of beef and venison and lots of duck. Advised by local Whirlpool-authorized repair service that it would cost as much to repair it as we paid for it.

You never like to lose an appliance that has given it's life but that time occurs. Approaching Senior Citizen age and being an "empty nester", moving from a chest freezer to an upright one was a great move. No more trying to figure out the easiest way to get to the bottom of the chest. I had the door mounted on the side I needed and I now can easily load and remove my frozen commodities.

Recent purchase to replace older, smaller and non working freezer/ So far, this unit has performed well - fast freeze and quiet. Previous one has a small light which indicated it was running - a nice, but relatively unimportant extra which is not included on this one.

Bought this in 2013. Replaced a 40 year old freezer that still worked fine. Was just scared it would quit but wish I had it back. You can put very little on the shelves because it blocks the vents. Even with the shelf empty it froze over. A sorry excuse for a freezer. I can see why it has been discontinued. Hope the designers do better with the next one. This product is substandard.

This is the best little freezer. It fits my space and still has loads of room for what we need. It seals the door well, it freezes very well, has good door and rack storage, and is quiet enough.

Purchased less than a month ago. There needs to be baskets in your freezer. I cook and put up my food. Everything just comes falling out when the door is opened since most things I freeze or not square. I have had to buy baskets to put my food in to keep them from falling out.Plus! This is the exact same freeze I had before only from a different manufacturer. That freezer lasted only 2 years. I think there is something wrong when a freezer has such a sort life span. I would recommend Whirlpool only because it is the first whirlpool I have had and my repair person recommended your brand

We recently moved from a very spacious rural locale to an in-town one, and no longer had the big freezer we used for years. We purchased our Whirlpool, and it has been the "savior" of our many canned and frozen items from our garden. Thus far, it is doing a great job. Space is good and the inner configuration seem to work fine for what we needed. All-in-all, a very good purchase.

We bought the refrigerator in May 2014 and really like it. There are a couple of things I would design differently if I had the chance. The ice machine in the door needs to be aimed out a little further. Ice regularly drops behind cups and glasses when used. Also, it is nice to have two doors, and we love that you don't have to close one before the other. They can be closed in any order. But we don't like that you have to open both doors to get into the crisper drawers, or the long deli drawer. It would make more sense to have the drawers line up with the doors so you don't have to open both doors to get something out of the left drawer, or both doors to get something out of the right drawer. And I'd split the deli-drawer for the same reason. Everything else is wonderful.

It's got plenty of internal space. It will store at least 100 lbs of meat easily. From pizza to cookie dough to frozen veggies to ice cream, this freezer ca store just about whatever you need, except possibly an elephant (not that you'd ever need to).

I bought this freezer almist 6 months ago, and it works beautifully! Big enough to hold 22 lb. Turkey in the corner of a shelf like it was a small chicken. Everything you could possibly imagine, right there at your fingertips, and never out of anything.

I love my freezer. I can find anything I need at a glance unlike a chest freezer. The energy saver feature is wonderful. I've saved a tremendous amount on my electric bill. I've had Whirlpool products before and I've always loved their durability, and are so well made I've never had to have a service call. My only regret is that I should have bought one sooner.

Several months ago our upright freezer quit working, it wasn't a Whirlpool. Compressor quit on that one, repairman wasn't available for 3 days and it was only two years old, warranty would only give us 25% of purchase price. So we went to the local independent dealer and looked at several brands and models, decided on this Whirlpool. Very glad we did. Long warranty, esteemed brand name, local service we've known for years. Should have bought it from them two years ago instead of from the chain. This freezer has a large easy-to-use drawer, shelves where they need to be, it's quiet and keeps things at about zero, and doesn't leak anything. Doesn't use much electricity either. The compressor is a much better one that the other brand's, I read the specs on both. If you need an upright freezer, this is the one to get. Whirlpool!

On September 4, 2014 we purchased the 15.3 Whirlpool Freezer at Lowes. This new one has features we never had before, like interior lighting, self defrosting and a great handle on the front and as indentation on the top of the door for easy opening. Very pleased with this replacement.

I bought this product one month ago to hold wild game such as deer, boar, duck, elk etc. and couldn't be happier! It was hassle free to set up. I opened the box, plugged it in and put on the door handle. It's energy efficient and has a ton of space! I already have two deer (one o which is a mule deer) in the freezer and had only filled 1.5 racks! Very happy woth my purchase!

Bought this several months ago. The delivery and set up were timely and professional. The gentlemen who did the work were here exactly when they said they'd be, they cleanup after themselves, and were nice.The freezer has been working perfectly since we purchased it. We especially like the interior light. Didn't have one in our old freezer; had no idea how helpful it would be.We're a two-person adult household and this freezer is ample for our needs. We like to stock up; accessing items in the freezer has been easy and the doors are nice for square and rectangular containers.There is no lock on this freezer. If we had children in the house, we would not have purchased it. We liked the lock on our old freezer since we used it to make sure we didn't accidentally leave the door ajar. Being in the garage, it could be several days before one of us noticed.
